The Arts in Australia has long been a fragmented industry circle, with various genres competing for a similar audience. A PERFECT PARTNERSHIPS
Drawing on significant experience designing and developing online destinations for the Arts industry, Deepend partnered with SBS’ internal technical department to deliver a sophisticated look and feel and site structure. With our remit extending to information architecture and design, Deepend liased effectively with the SBS team to augment and enhance their existing CMS platform in order to suit the breadth of content available from the STVDIO channel.
BRINGING THE CHANNEL ONLINE
The site interfaces with a number of existing platforms, including SBS chosen CDN (Content Distribution Network), and EPG (Electronic programming guide) platforms to bring rich media content to users, without additional workflow required on the part of site admin.
GROWING AN AUDIENCE
The site is the first attempt at uniting an Australian arts audience, and is part of a concerted effort on the part of Pan TV to drive and develop quality Australian content. The platform provides the means for them to build engagement and repeated visitation via custom-developed interstitials and long form content. Initial signs are encouraging and the official audience for the site and channel have been growing at around 10% per month since launch.
